Differentiation through the lens of Products, Practices, and Perspectives

$300.00

One-Hour Session for World Language Teachers

Differentiation is great in theory, but applying it is a challenge. Analyzing classroom culture through the lens of Products, Practices and Perspectives is a fantastic place to start! Differentiating for product and practice gives students variety and choice. Differentiating for perspective can powerfully transform and individualize learning! Participants will have time to discuss their own classroom practices and explore examples of differentiated products, practices and perspectives in action.

In this session participants will:

  • Review the products, practices, and perspectives framework for examining cultures, and discuss how this framework can inform our classroom practice

  • Investigate ideas to differentiate for product while maintaining equitable grading practices through well-designed rubrics

  • Explore ways to differentiate for practice, including low-prep modifications for struggling students and how to challenge fast finishers

  • Discuss how to differentiate for perspective (i.e., different content), giving students voice and choice in their language learning.

  • Emphasize real-life classroom application. Ideas are low-prep, practical, and ready to incorporate in your current curriculum

In-person or virtual formats available.

Just wanted to say thanks for coming to our fall kick-off. I had TONS of teachers tell me not only how much they enjoyed your opening and break out sessions, but also how much they learned from them! It is by far the most positive feedback I’ve gotten, so thank you

I am planning to add more of the activities shared by Lisa for next school year. I find them not only original and highly motivating, but also rich in content and strategies for our students.
