Cecilia Camarero
Spanish and English Teacher and Global Educator
2023 Participate Learning Teacher of The Year
My teaching journey started in 2008 after I graduated as an English Teacher from Comahue University in Argentina. Since then, I’ve focused on global education, project-based learning, and high-impact instructional strategies, sharing what I’ve learned by presenting at conferences and leading trainings for teachers in Argentina and the U.S.
After some years teaching in Cipolletti, Argentina, in 2021 I had the chance to become an Ambassador Teacher in the U.S. and after two years I was honored to receive the Participate Learning Teacher of the Year award.
In my World Language classroom, I blend language learning with cultural exploration, encouraging my students to be curious, empathetic, and open to the world. I truly believe teachers have a unique opportunity to help students build skills for life while learning a language — skills that go way beyond the classroom.
Whether I’m teaching, mentoring, or leading workshops, my goal is always to create meaningful connections and help students thrive in an interconnected world.
I’m very grateful to Lisa Bartels for inviting me to volunteer and share my passion for global learning in Explore! Curriculum with other teachers around the world. I would LOVE to connect with you!
